I’m honoured to have been asked to speak at next week’s IACCM conference at the International Business School in Preston.  I’m taking part in a fairly nerve-wracking panel debate on the ‘relevance gap’ – the difference between what business schools deliver and what employers want.  And my fellow panellists sound quite daunting…

We’re on the bill alongside Professors and Doctors from the likes of Cranfield, Liverpool and Lancaster Universities.  As well as North West representatives from the CBI and the Financial Times.  (No, of course I’m not nervous!)  Other speakers at the four-day conference include people from universities across the globe; from Tokyo to Italy.

The conference is a real opportunity to showcase our Showing Off Business Academy on a world stage.  Its the part of our business we want to take international and share best practice in business training around the globe.  I was invited to be a panel member because of that passion; alongside the fact that I have attended business school at Lancaster and still chose to set up an Academy which may be seen to compete with the academic options available.

The debate is being videoed, so we should be able to post some content for you next week…
